Join the 2027 Festival Team
The Art and Craft Festival is run by our school community, and we're looking for a few more people to join the team for 2027.
You don't need to have volunteered before and you don't need to know everything. Each role has support around it, and most roles are shared or have someone experienced working alongside you.

Sponsorship Team
1 to 2 people
Love talking to people? Enjoy a bit of networking? This could be your thing.
The Sponsorship Team helps bring local businesses, larger businesses and community supporters on board for the 2027 Festival.
You might be emailing businesses, making phone calls, dropping in for a chat or coming up with creative ways to secure donations and sponsorship.
You'll work alongside our Sponsorship Lead, so you won't be starting from scratch. You can bring your own contacts, ideas and personality to the role and help us secure some great prizes, donations and sponsorship.
You may also help organise prize collections, drop offs and deliveries as things come together.
You might be a great fit if you:
• Enjoy talking to businesses and people
• Are confident having a chat or making a phone call
• Are organised and good at following things up
• Have some sales or networking experience
• Can use Excel to keep track of contacts and donations
• Have a few local connections you'd love to put to good use
Op Shop Lead
2 people
If you love op shopping, finding a bargain and sorting through a good pile of donations, we need you!
You'll work with the school office to coordinate donations in the lead up to the Festival, organise some dedicated drop off days and help make sure we're collecting things people actually want to buy.
Thursday and Friday are the big transformation days. You'll help sort, price and organise everything and turn the classroom into a proper Festival Op Shop.
Then it's about keeping things moving across the weekend, helping volunteers, keeping the room organised and making sure the shelves stay looking good.
On Sunday, you'll help lead pack down, sort what's left and organise suitable donations to go to Vinnies or elsewhere.
And yes, sometimes we have to accept that nobody is ever going to buy that particular item!

Festival Logistics
1 to 2 people
Love organising, coordinating and making sure everything is where it needs to be? This could be your role.
The Logistics Team helps bring the festival site together and works closely with the different Festival teams, suppliers and ride providers to make sure everything is organised and ready to go.
You will help coordinate with ride providers, work out where everything needs to go, help plan the layout and make sure the different areas have what they need.
You'll also be involved in liaising with the different teams before the festival and helping solve any logistical issues that pop up along the way.
This is a role for someone who likes having a plan but is also happy to change it when something doesn't quite go to plan.
Once the Festival is up and running, the role is mostly about being available if something needs sorting, with a focus on setup and pack down rather than being tied to one area all weekend.
A good fit if you:
• Are organised and good at coordinating people
• Are confident dealing with suppliers and ride providers
• Like working out where things need to go
• Are good at problem solving
• Can communicate well with different teams
• Like having a plan and keeping things on track
• Are happy to be the person people come to when something needs sorting
No heavy lifting required. This is more about organising the moving parts and making sure everything comes together.
Art Team

Love art, but don't necessarily want to be the person in charge?
This could be your role.
You'll work closely with our Art Lead to help bring the Festival's art areas together and keep everything running smoothly.
You'll help communicate with artists, keep track of artwork and information, manage spreadsheets and send communications through Mailchimp.
You'll also be the extra pair of hands when the Art Team needs someone to jump in and get something sorted.
You'll need to be available for Wednesday night setup, with preferably some availability throughout Thursday and Friday as the Festival comes together.
You might be a great fit if you:
• Are organised and good at keeping track of details
• Are comfortable using Excel and spreadsheets
• Have used Mailchimp, or are happy to learn
• Enjoy communicating with creative people
• Can work closely with the Art Lead
• Can help with Wednesday night setup
• Have some availability Thursday and Friday
• Are happy to jump in wherever you're needed
You'll basically help the Art Lead keep all the balls in the air, without having to carry the whole thing yourself.
Kids Disco
2 people
Let's give the kids their own Festival party!
For 2027, we're simplifying last year's Disco and Games Room and focusing on creating one really fun Kids Disco.
You'll help bring the room to life with music, lights, decorations and plenty of dancing.
You'll organise what the room needs, coordinate volunteers and make sure everything is running smoothly across the weekend.
You won't need to sit in the room all weekend. Your job is to get everything organised, make sure the volunteers know what they're doing and create a space the kids actually want to hang out in.
Two people will share the role, so you can tag team it and still enjoy the Festival yourself.

• Have ideas for music, lights and decorations
• Are organised and good with people
• Don't mind coordinating volunteers
• Can help with Friday setup and Sunday pack down
• Are happy to have a bit of fun!
Craft Coordinator Understudy

Love the idea of being involved in the creative side of the Festival, but don't want to jump straight into running the whole thing?
This could be perfect for you.
Our Craft Coordinator looks after all of the craft applications that come in for the Festival, and we're looking for someone to work alongside them this year and learn the ropes.
You'll help manage craft applications, work out where everyone needs to go, make sure we don't have any double ups, communicate with our craft stallholders and make sure all the necessary insurance is sorted.
You'll also help with bump in across the Festival weekend, so yes, there may be some early mornings involved!
The great thing is that 2027 will be your chance to shadow our lovely Craft Coordinator, learn how everything works and get a feel for the role before making it your own.
You'll have someone experienced beside you, so you won't be thrown in the deep end.
